23 WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED What does it take to succeed? You have come far, you are working hard, your grades are good and you know that you will graduate. And then what? How can you realize your dreams in the business world when it seems all that is required is EXPERIENCE? Well, it is important that you rely on yourself and have a strong and high self- esteem. People with a poor self-esteem will lack confidence and are often not able to communicate ideas freely. They do not speak up at meetings or voice opinions. They are confused about rights and positions. In short, there is an awful lot of self sabotage going on. A strong and healthy self-esteem will only propel you forward. You have to show them you have the confidence to take educated risks, the belief that you will succeed, and the desire to try. You are able to handle whatever comes your way.
