While Toronto continues to see major retailers flock to our city to set up shop, many of these new stores have forgotten about the frugal shopper. Here is a list of ways and places to spend your shopping dollar on the cheap. WAREHOUSE AND SAMPLE SALES Shopping at a warehouse sale, is one of the most convenient ways to score great deals on branded product. Warehouse sales are often primarily held by one major brand, and if you’re a fan of that brand you can often find deals as good as 90% off on a full product line including: Shoes, clothing and accessories. CRAIGSLIST AND KIJIJI If you’re looking for great deals on everything from clothing to a refrigerator, free classified listing are a great option for you. If you’re looking for something highly desirable you can often find it on Craigslist or Kijiji. Plus, there are tons of people giving away stuff for Free on these websites. Just hit your city search and then type in free. You’d be surprised what’s on there! Also, make sure you are buying something from someone in public spaces (Try a Mall or a busy Starbucks, never your home) or bring a friend. If you feel uncomfortable don’t do it. TIP: Sellers know they will probably have to take a hit on their product, so don’t be afraid to do a little negotiating. Asking for a cheaper deal doesn’t hurt anyone.
