42 Hanlan’s Point: Notorious for its clothing optional area, Hanlan’s Point also has a side for the less adventurous, even though it is generally far less populated than its nude-friendly neighbour (only the second of its kind in Canada). The site of one of Toronto’s first major amusement parks, the beach still gets very busy on hot weekends with a wide variety of clothed and unclothed patrons. Weekdays will usually see a higher single male p opulation on the nude side, but the creep factor is kept mostly in check. Sunnyside: Is deemed safe for swimming most of the time. Perhaps due to the proximity of Gus Ryder pool, the beach itself never seems to get very congested, and for sure not like it used to. Normally on summer evenings and weekends, both the beach and the ample grassy area that is immediately to the north draw people out who are more interested in the scenery than getting in the water. Cherry Beach: This is an extremely popular kite boarding and surfboarding location. The beach has a decidedly laid back atmosphere about it. Should not all beaches? Yes, but compared to Woodbine, for instance, it is less populated and lacks that “look at me” vibe that all the volleyball players tend to emit. Also the aroma of charcoal barbecues often wafts over the beach from the 9 FLIRTING TIPS WHEN OUT AND ABOUT Give Genuine Compliments Everyone likes to be complimented. But keep it classy! Adding some humour to a situation can also help break the ice.Don’t Get Nervous Everyone gets nervous from time to time. Just try to remember the positive things about your social interactions. Remember the last amazing conversation that you had with someone when you had the right things to say. Also, try looking at yourself as others see you. If someone else had said what you had then would you have thought they were stupid? Of course not! And no one else would likely think that way about you. While you are talking to others, don’t worry about what your saying. If You Ask For Their Phone Number, Be Sure You Intend On Using It Flirting and meeting people is about making new connections and having fun. If you don’t intend to call their number, don’t ask. There’s nothing worse than giving out your phone number and not getting called. If you asked for it, then use it! TORONTO’S TOP 5 BEACHES The top beaches in Toronto perhaps do not rival those to be found at more southerly destinations around the globe, but regardless, throughout the summer months they’re a more than adequate substitute for those who will find themselves city bound and in need of a little sand and sunshine. They have the added bonus that most are also excellent places to swim. The quality of water at Toronto area beaches does unfortunately suffer from a bad reputation. The majority of our lake front swimming areas have had the misfortune of receiving the Blue Flag eco-label, a internationally recognized poor designation for environmental factors. Woodbine / Kew / Balmy beaches: Although three technically different beaches with distinct histories, they are all grouped together based on the close proximity they share. Should you not like the vibe at one, then it only takes you a minute or two to get to the others. And different vibes they do have. Woodbine is the city’s best spot for beach volleyball and is the busiest of the eastern beaches. Kew takes some of the overflow and rewards those looking for a more serene experience. It is marked by the historic lifesaving station and rock sculptors on summer weekends. Balmy is the quietest of the three, and also the most easterly, and great for seclusion. $5 OFF * *SHOW THIS AD TO REDEEM $5 OFF ANY REGULAR PRICED FOOD ITEM. *Taxes extra.
